Langøyene
If there is an complete holiday destination in Oslo, it has got to be Langøyene, a popular island in Oslo Fjord. Surrounded by the pristine waters of the fjord, this island is home to some of the most exotic locations easily reachable from the city.
Initially, there were two islands closely located to each other, but eventually the islet between both of them was converted into a recreational area. This connect both islands which now comprise Langøyene. During the summers you can hang around in the beaches along the shoreline of the island, or place volleyball in the beach court.
Other activities popular here are hiking in the several elevated spot on the island, and football in the vast field here. From City Hall Pier 4 in Oslo, get on the ferry line B4 to reach the island from its east side. If you plan to visit Langøyene with your friends or family, you can halt here for the night in the camping area for free.
